Clearlake Fishing and Scenery

Hello everyone from cold Clearlake.
Terry and Jim have resorted to minnow fishing in the bay where we are staying. This picture was taken on Wednesday afternoon. They didn't have a bite.
Yesterday Terry, Jim and Carol went out early and got 6 fish and then I went out with Terry around 10 am. I took this picture from where we were fishing around Long Tuley Point looking toward the town of Nice, CA. It was cold again around 50 deg and the water temp was 54 deg so the fishing was slooow.
The next picture is of the dock at our campground and trailer parking area. The red covered boat belongs to Jim and Carol who live in Crooked River. We have been down here together 3 different years now. They are also members of the same bass club we belong to in Central Oregon.

The weather is cold and cloudy as you can see from the picture, so I decided not to go fishing today. It feels pretty nice just sitting in the MH and reading, blogging, etc.
Terry went out this morning to the Soda Bay Hot Spring Island at the head of our bay here and minnow fished. This is one of the fish he brought in which weighed 4.8 lbs.
We are trying to have a fish fry tomorrow night so wanted some more fish. But since he caught 6 fish and 4 were pretty big, we decided to throw the 4 big ones back to spawn and kept the two smaller males.

We were hoping to catch crappie to eat, but it has been very slow for that bite as well. This is one of the fish that was in the sink below at the fish cleaning station here at the campground.

Well, he and Tom (another friend we have met from Washington) are out fishing again this afternoon and hopefully they will get some more small bass or crappie for the fish fry tomorrow night.
Hope you enjoy our pictures and will post more later.
Sandy

Can you tell he is a happy camper!!
