Terry's fishing tournament

Terry's first tournament with the local bass club was on Sunday. He actually fished with a guy we met at Shreveport last October during the Bass Team World Championship. He went to the meeting last week because he had seen a couple of guys in Oklahoma from Texas and they told him to come to their club in Round Rock (about 8 miles). When he got there, he saw this guy Larry and his son Luke that were in Shreveport. Very small world. Anyway, they hooked up for the tournament this past Sunday. It was on Georgetown Lake and Terry caught three fish. The one below weighed 4.19 lbs. He didn't get big fish. Luke had one over 5 lbs. Terry and his partner finished 6th which was okay for his first Texas tournament. This was the day after hurricane Ike went thru Texas. As you can see it was a beautiful day in Central Texas. We didn't get anything but some wind from the hurricane and it was gone by the end of the day on Saturday.

They had a paper tournament and only weighed in big fish. Paper tournament was interesting. You measure your fish and there is a predetermined weight assigned for each 1/2 inch so it works pretty good.
Well, that's it for fishing. More later. Sandy
