Fishing at Georgetown Lake

Fishing was good today. We caught lots of fish and some decent ones. This was Terry's first fish of the day on a sweet beaver in the trees along the river end of the lake. The water level is down about 25 feet now so can't wait to see this place in the spring. These trees will be under water then. It was a cloudy day and we had a few sprinkles but the rain showers missed us.
Terry's second fish was also on a sweet beaver on the river side of the trees. Another nice fish!!

He wasn't the only one catching fish. I had a good one on a spinnerbait over a stump about 3 feet from the boat!! I was surprised since the lure was almost to the boat but it was a nice fish also!!

The second fish was also on a spinnerbait and amongt the trees. We were back in the river quite a ways when I got this one. Nice fish!! We don't keep the fish, so they can be caught again another day!! Oh, yeah, I'm listening to my Ipod and have it stuck down in my bathing suit!! good place to keep it I think. It's about 95 deg today and a slight breeze. The sun came out about 1 pm. We decided to give up fishing and go swimming about 3:30 and on the way back to the dam area of the lake Terry spotted what he thought was a log floating!!

Well, to his surprise it was a buck swimming across the lake. We couldn't believe how far he was swimming and how fast. He was a little spooked by the boat but kept going on his course.

When he got to shore he just jumped up and ran away. Nice deer.
Well, that's it for another day in Texas and fishing and hunting!!
Until later.
Sandy
