As we approached Steamboat Mountain (Historic Milepost 351) we encountered the clouds. It was very foggy. We slowly made our way to Summit Lake at 4050 ft. to spend the night. Along the way we saw lots of bear and a moose walked right out in front of Bob. Will post that picture next.
There were three bears here, two cubs (one black and one brown) and mama bear was on the hill above.
This is another bear that was very fat! Got lots of great shots of her or him. Whatever.
The scenery on day one out of Dawson Creek was pretty good. Lots of good shots, but it was partly cloudy.
