More Thanksgiving weekend

Cinnamon rolls. This is actually the second batch since the first batch wasn't up to par. It had been a long time since he has made them so we'll let him get by this time. These were delicious!!!
And it finally rained. It actually rained twice in one day. We had some ponds, creeks, etc. It didn't stay long enough to stock with bass tho!
Thunder thinks he is just another stuffed animal. Surprisingly he got along well with the dogs. Dudley (the biggest dog) was actually afraid of Thunder!
Hope you all had a great day. SandyPosted by Picasa

Thanksgiving

Happy day after Thanksgiving!! We had a great dinner and dessert!! I make a pineapple filled coconut cake from scratch. It was nice to be able to bake again in a big kitchen. It was delicious but we were all stuffed so didn't make a very big dent in the cake. I may freeze some of it for later. We are having leftovers today and then going to the tree lighting on the square in Georgetown. They will be having some music/singing before the tree lighting.

Barb and Tom had rv friends join us. They are traveling part way back to Pheonix with them this weekend then going their separate ways. These people have some land in Redmond, OR, and have a rv hook up and barn so they spend summer there and then travel the rest of the time. It was nice to have company for our first Thanksgiving in the new house.

The dogs enjoyed laying on the patio with some of the people. It was a very pleasant day in the 70's and some clouds to keep the sun away. We went for a long walk after dinner and it did sprinkle a little. This morning we actually had a rain shower so we had some puddles for the birds to take a bath!! We haven't actually had much rain here all summer so it was nice to see rain coming out of the downspouts.

Barb and Terry during the cooking, cleaning and setting the table process. We had lots of help and Tom and Lee actually did the clean up washing and drying!!

Barb and I looked a little perplexed in this photo, but we had things under control. This was the gravy making chore. It was fabulous!!
For all you who love the broccoli casserole!! This was before it was baked. I don't think it was as good as in years past, but it was okay.

Hope you all have a wonderful holiday and Christmas coming up. Wendy is coming on Tuesday for 13 days. She is very busy so won't be able to stay thru the holiday, but at least she's coming.

See you all down the road.

Moved In

Well, we finally closed and have moved in. As you can see the rv space is occupied with the mh and just needs a little stain and is good to go. Of course, we haven't had any landscaping done yet, so still pretty rough outside.

Barb and Tom arrived to help unload the truck and start the unpacking process. We moved our mh out and they backed theirs in. So all you guys that want to visit, you can see you will have a nice space to park and hook up!

Tom's coach is 45 ft so it didn't quite fit inside with the gates shut. but it is close!

After a hard day of unloading and washing all the furniture, we sat down to relax and the dogs had to come inside to relax too. Thunder is checking them out and we couldn't believe he would just lay there and not run away from the dogs. I think Dudley was more afraid of the cat that the cat was of him!! He avoided walking by the table where the cat was lying. Crazy dog!

The other night we had some excitement. Lots of fire trucks, police, ambulances, etc. We didn't know what was going on since the police parked in our drive so I had to go outside and investigate. The lady's house down the street had a short somewhere and her security system called the fire department!! They sent three fire trucks, 4 ambulances, and 2 or 3 police cars! Nothing but a false alarm. I couldn't believe how many showed up, but I guess that's the routine around here.

Our neighbor was expecting the pizza delivery guy so he came out to see what was going on. Then the pizza guy arrived and couldn't get through the traffic jam. What a crazy night.

Hopefully this won't be a common thing if someone comes to visit!

Great room (waiting on one shade that was wrong).

Foyer looking toward master suite! and master bedroom.

Hallway toward visitors bedroom, bath and my sewing room. Also, opening into the kitchen on the left. It sure is nice to get pictures hung!

Guest bedroom.
Guest bath

And sewing room. I actually sewed some placemats today. Got to get the quilted now!.

Well, that's the tour, so come visit.

New House

Early picture before shutters. This was probably on moving in day!

Guest shower and washer/dryer. It was nice to use the washer.

Well, we finally moved in with what we had. Furniture still in storage. The boat just fits as you can see.

The motorhome is at rest in the rv space now. This picture is before the gates were built and then below is a picture of the finished gates. They still need to be stained and the wrought iron needs to be painted.

The shutters and shades arrived so I have several pictures of the installed products. Also, the stereo and tvs were installed last week. Right now we have lovely camp chairs!!

I love the kitchen!. Great place to cook. Right now in the middle of cooking an omelete.

Breakfast room shades and outside patio and rv garage.

TV !!

TV on and roman shades. One of the shades had to be returned since the pull cord was on the wrong side!

Well, that's a little peek. More later. Terry is on the way with the furniture!

Hello Everyone

Here are some of the pictures from the B.A.S.S. Club World Championship held in Wagoner, OK in October 2008. Below is the state park where we stayed on Ft. Gibson Lake. We had the place pretty much to ourselves until Thursday and then the weekenders started rolling in. Each night we had dinner at our campsite. All the team is in this picture except for Bill since one of the team members didn't show up. We had to get Bill to fly out from OR since he was the team alternate. We also had lots of deer in the campground. They would come thru every morning and again early evening.

These are white tale deer. Oregon has mule deer so these are a little smaller.

After dinner shot trying to get a game plan for prefishing!! Dan H., Kevin G., Don H., Terry B., and Don Hollis. We also had good weather as you can see.
The motorhome in the background is Kevin Gray's.
On Day One, Terry and Don weighed in 13 lb 12 oz. At this point the team was in 3rd place.
Below is a picture of Terry and Kevin's boat. They are sitting waiting to get on the trailer and weigh in. We had one car between the three teams so everyone loaded up on the same trailer to get to the parking lot. When they finished weighing their fish, we put the boat back in the water at a secondary ramp and loaded up the next boat. It really worked pretty good, it was just strange having a Triton and another boat on a Ranger trailer. It worked!!

Day two pictures of Dan and Don with 12 lb 11 oz and Kevin and Don Hollis with 12 lb 5 oz. Pretty good.

Also have various pictures of the team standing in the weighin line.

Don and Dan

Don, Dan and Don waving.

Kevin and Don!

Terry and Don the first day. The team finished in 13th place and the money stopped at 7th place!! Good thing they didn't finish 8th!! Anyway it was a great time with the guys.

Day One after Terry and Don weighed in with 13 lb 12 oz. Terry, Don Hollis and Don Holw.

More pictures to come of the house!! Now have internet so will get things posted soon.
